Stars including Angelina Jolie and Gwyneth Paltrow have gone on the record accusing the movie producer of unwanted sexual advances as secretly recorded audio of Weinstein urging an actress to go to his hotel room was made public.
The movie mogul was terminated from The Weinstein Company, which he co-founded, after several women, including Ashley Judd, went public with their accusations of misconduct.
Weinstein’s attorney, Lisa Bloom, tells “GMA” why she is defending the movie producer, the subject of a New York Times article, after a career of representing women in sexual harassment cases.
Amid the accusations, Weinstein plans to take a leave of absence to “deal with this issue head on.”
