Former US Secretary of State John Kerry says Donald Trump’s desire to do away with the Iran deal is a form of nuclear proliferation, and the effects would be dangerous. Kerry says Trump risks driving Iran to a path toward a nuclear weapon, as well as worsening the stand-off with the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea. European leaders have also been working to save the deal, saying it’s crucial to stability in the region and the rest of the world. The bloc is calling on the US Congress to save the deal. Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, on Wednesday said Tehran would stick to the accord as long as other signatories respect it. He says the deal will be ditched if Washington pulls out.
