Brexit negotiations hit a financial roadblock

With rounds of negotiations, Michel Barnier, the EU’s chief Brexit negotiator has lamented the UK’s “lack of sufficient progress” on the three core issues of separation: the divorce bill, rights of UK and EU citizens after Brexit and the Irish border.

EU leaders will gather for an EU summit in Brussels in October to open negotiations on the future relationship with the UK, which focuses mainly on trade.
